Philosophy:

At contemporary times, the problems of adolescents are increasing every year due to environmental influences. The more the problems that adolescents have, the more they need somebody whom they can express their feelings and confide with their problems. It is for this reason that the existence of the Guidance Program in schools become a necessity for the students and those who need it in order for them to develop positive outlook in life. Mendoza (2003) stated that guidance as an integral part of education has taken a wider scope for it does not only concentrate in providing guidance for choice of career but it has a major role in the interrelation of an individual with his family and with the people around him. People need not grope in the dark whenever they are confused. They can seek assistance from guidance counselors to make intelligent moves as they start catch new values, acquire new style, and arrive at better understanding of themselves to relate better at home, at the workplace or in the community.
